It seems COVID is showing up everywhere. I know of more and more homes where at least one person has tested positive for COVID, is showing symptoms, or has even been hospitalized. Our COVID fatigue is real. I didn’t take Greek in seminary, and I’m not too happy about learning the Greek alphabet via COVID. The omicron surge is so fast and widespread (and likely underreported) that we’re just emotionally exhausted. The sheer numbers of people infected simultaneously have led…

SUNDAY SERVICES STAYING ONLINE The COVID infection rates in Shenandoah Country continue to be too high for in-person services to be safe for us all. Currently, the rate is at 182.3 per 100,000. Given this, we will live stream worship on January 23 on Facebook Live at 10:15 a.m. and on Zoom. Mother Kathy will offer Holy Eucharist with Spiritual Communion. The numbers in Shenandoah County reflect widespread transmission – as of Jan. 4, 7-day average of cases per 100,000 is 143.9. There is an uncontrolled spread, and the best thing, for now, is to avoid prolonged social contact.
