Pantry Volunteers Needed

Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry needs your help! We are seeking a volunteer (or two) who can devote approximately eight hours a month to taking inventory, ordering and determining what to place in pre-packaged bags. If you’re a detail-oriented person who is comfortable with computers and loves to be part of a team, we’d love to speak with you about volunteering. Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry Wins Grant

Monday, October 12, we were blessed with a delivery from Food Lion. Their team delivered and unloaded two pallets of food, plus gave the pantry $800 in gift cards. The delivery was the result of our being awarded the Food Lion Feeds Great Pantry Makeover Restock after being nominated by the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank coordinator. Food Pantry Open Tues. 3/24

Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry is open Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or when we run out). We are providing prepackaged bags of non-perishable food (no household items) to those in emergency need. When you arrive, please stay in your car. A volunteer comes to get your info. Groceries are placed behind your vehicle by a volunteer. Food Pickup Procedures at Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry Remain in your vehicle. A volunteer will approach you (no closer than 6 feet away) and record the information you usually provide on the yellow sign in sheet. Food Pantry Holiday Donation Drive

This joyous holiday season as you select charities to support, we ask that you keep Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry in mind. Every donation, big or small, is appreciated to help us feed a number of the many friends and neighbors in ShenCo who experience food insecurity.  Each week at Emmanuel’s Table, we typically serve 180 to 210 local people. Anyone in need, no matter religion, race, age, ability or language spoken, is served with dignity and respect (and a smile!)…

Food Pantry Summer Donation Drive

The food pantry is in need of funds so that we can stock our shelves and keep helping the community. Since school is out and kids no longer have access to free/reduced breakfasts and lunches, the number of families we’re serving is increasing. Cash donations are extremely important so that we can continue to help everyone who comes to us each Tuesday.
