Parish Service and Picnic at Shrine Mont

Sunday, July 29, 2018 We’ll have the picnic pavilion from 11am to 3pm. Our joint celebration of Holy Eucharist will be at the Shrine from noon until 12:45 pm. We will have a golf cart to help with transporting back and forth for the event. Patience with the parking lot

The work on the new Woodstock town parking lot behind and south of Emmanuel Church is well underway. When it’s done, there will be a lovely pedestrian walkway from the parking lot along our boundary with the Presbyterian church. This will make it easy for us to use the town lot when there are special events at our church and also for anyone to use to it to get through to Court Street and North Main. Beckford Women’s Monthly Gathering Tonight

The Beckford Parish Women’s Group is getting together at the Spring House Tavern Inn in Woodstock this Friday Night (tonight, July 13, 2018!) at 6pm for a social half hour and ordering meals will start at 6:30. Record Numbers Served at Emmanuel’s Table

They came and the Lord provided Tuesday morning (6/12/18) we were inundated before we had time to open the door  The staircase was lined well before 9 am, and a steady stream continued for the rest of the morning. We served 33 households representing 135 individuals. Four had never been to the Pantry before.  Fortunately, our shelves were fully stocked and multiple buckets lined the hallway with fresh produce.  By noon, buckets and shelves were almost bare.  Which is good!!  …

Word is spreading! May 1st Pantry activity saw 23 households representing 63, a new record! Of those, 5 households were first timers, confirmation that the work is well received and the word spreading.  Woodstock neighbors continue to lend helping hands: Family Promise donated (and delivered!) cases and cases of toilet paper,  dentist Sandra Drake donated two huge boxes of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss, Joe’s Steakhouse gave us emergency space in their freezer.  Several volunteers from other churches including a family of…
