Helping States after the Storm
Winter storms with Arctic temperatures and weather hammered areas of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma with conditions most residents have not seen in their lifetime. Snow, ice, and plummeting temperatures caused massive power outages for several days with devastating impacts on pipes, water supply, grocery supply, and so much more. Food Pantry Holiday Donation Drive
This joyous holiday season as you select charities to support, we ask that you keep Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry in mind. Every donation, big or small, is appreciated to help us feed a number of the many friends and neighbors in ShenCo who experience food insecurity. Each week at Emmanuel’s Table, we typically serve 180 to 210 local people. Anyone in need, no matter religion, race, age, ability or language spoken, is served with dignity and respect (and a smile!)…

Christmas Giving Tree 2019 at Emmanuel
Christmas Giving Tree 2019 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church This Christmas, we partnered with counselors from Shenandoah County Public Schools to identify local children who need our help. The counselors work closely with students so are able to identify where need is the greatest. We’ve been provided with names of kids of various ages. St. Andrew’s Rummage Sale Report
The 2019 St. Andrew’s Annual Rummage Sale was a success, raising over $1668.01 for area charities. The committee is evaluating which charities are to receive donations. Once selected, funds will be sent and the charities announced. Many thanks to Colleen Gray and her volunteer team for organizing and running the sale, and to everyone who donated items or shopped to help support this effort. Stay tuned for 2020 details!

Stop by the St. Andrew’s indoor rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. for deals on everything from small appliances, toys, books and clothes to instruments, furniture and household goods! Emmanuel Outreach Committee Sets Goals
The re-organized Emmanuel Outreach Committee met in June and has identified their focus as “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” aiming efforts at families and children in our Woodstock and Shenandoah County areas. We will continue receiving donations for the Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter on Mission Sunday each month. For July, the committee is sending a $500 check to Emmanuel’s Table. In future months, checks will go to earmarked groups. A small amount will be held back to help with any unexpected community…
