Community Lenten Services

Community Lenten Services are at Woodstock UMC every Tuesday during Lent (March 3 through April 7). Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with the service at noon. Mother Kathy is preaching and we are providing lunch for the March 24 service (soups, sandwiches and desserts). We need volunteers to bring food and to serve. Sign up sheets are in the parish hall. Please speak with Jill Gochenour, who is coordinating, if you have questions.

St. Andrew’s Rummage Sale Report

The 2019 St. Andrew’s Annual Rummage Sale was a success, raising over $1668.01 for area charities. The committee is evaluating which charities are to receive donations. Once selected, funds will be sent and the charities announced. Many thanks to Colleen Gray and her volunteer team for organizing and running the sale, and to everyone who donated items or shopped to help support this effort. Stay tuned for 2020 details!

A number of Woodstock churches, including Emmanuel, First Presbyterian, St. Paul’s UCC, John Bosco Catholic and UMC are coming together for a Tuesday community Lenten service from March 12 through April 16. Advent Community Service in Woodstock Dec. 12

Mother Kathy is the preacher and Beckford Parish’s Emmanuel is hosting the lunch for the Woodstock area ministerial association’s Community Advent Service on Wednesday, December 12. Help Us Light Up Woodstock This Friday 11/30/18!

One of the ways we share Christ’s love in our community is through our support of Light Up Woodstock, the town’s kick-off event for Christmas. We provide hot cocoa and cookies and we need your help with both cookie-baking and coming that night to serve.  Cookies can be dropped off at Emmanuel this week (or call Melissa or Mother Kathy to make arrangements) or at St. Andrew’s by Thursday at 1pm so Melissa can pick them up.  To help that…
