Blessing of the Animals Oct. 6, 2018

Everyone is invited to bring your pet to the St. Andrew’s parking lot on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 1:00pm for an outdoor pet blessing. Invite your friends too. We will move to the parish hall if the weather is too poor to be outside. 
Joint Parish Service - Bluegrass Band

Joint Parish Celebration October 7

St. Andrew’s and Emmanuel are coming together for a joint First Sunday service and Oktoberfest celebration on Oct. 7 at 11:15 a.m. at Emmanuel. After the service, enjoy the music of bluegrass band Seldom Serious and a potluck Oktoberfest luncheon. To sign up to bring a dish, contact Joy Bauserman at Emmanuel or Marcia Brownfield at St. Andrew’s.  Note: This is the only parish service that day. Our three Sunday services on September 30 are at the usual times and places.

In Memoriam: Marcie Hartmann

With deep sadness we inform you of the death of Emmanuel Episcopal Church parishioner Marcie Hartmann. Martha “Marcie” Hartmann, 89, of Woodstock, died Friday, September 7, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.   Marcie was born November 7, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Mohler Bell.  After graduating from Denison University, Marcie, a classically trained pianist and singer, raised a family and then later in life went back to school to earn her RN degree.
