Food Pickup Procedures at Emmanuel’s Table Food Pantry Remain in your vehicle. A volunteer will approach you (no closer than 6 feet away) and record the information you usually provide on the yellow sign in sheet. URGENT Suspension of Church Services and Gatherings
UPDATE: All public Worship, events and use of church space by outside groups suspended through may 8 at least Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, As you may have seen in The Washington Post and elsewhere, Bishop Goff has directed all Episcopal churches in the Diocese of Virginia to suspend public worship and large gatherings until March 25. Community Lenten Services
Community Lenten Services are at Woodstock UMC every Tuesday during Lent (March 3 through April 7). Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with the service at noon. Mother Kathy is preaching and we are providing lunch for the March 24 service (soups, sandwiches and desserts). We need volunteers to bring food and to serve. Sign up sheets are in the parish hall. Please speak with Jill Gochenour, who is coordinating, if you have questions.

Hygiene Best Practices for Eucharist
From the Diocese of Virginia: As the flu season continues, and amid growing concerns about the possible spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, now is a good time to remind everyone about best practices for hygiene during Eucharist and other services. Parishioners who are coughing or sneezing should refrain from handshaking during the Peace. Fist bumps, elbow bumps, friendly waves, and peace signs are all acceptable substitutes. Shrine Mont Summer Camps 2020
Camp registration open Shrine Mont Summer Camps 2020 are now open for registration at shrinemontcamps.net. A variety of camps are available for dates in June and July, depending on the camper’s interests and needs. Scholarships available Scholarships are available through Shrine Mont and also the Emmanuel Church Shrine Mont Scholarship Fund. Please speak with Mother Kathy for further information on a scholarship. It is important to register early as camps and scholarships fill up quickly on a first-come, first-served basis.
