ST. ANDREW’S UKRAINE CRISIS DONATION CHALLENGE
In an effort to do what we can to help with the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine, St. Andrew’s vestry has committed $2,000 of Outreach funds to the cause. Now, they are challenge everyone to come together to match — or even exceed — their donation between now and March 27.

To help match their donation and support the people of Ukraine, please send checks, made out to St. Andrew’s and noted that it is for the Ukraine fund, to St. Andrew’s P.O. Box 117 Mt. Jackson VA 22842. March 27 is the donation deadline.

At the end of the challenge, the vestry will announce how much was raised and will send all funds directly to the Episcopal Relief & Development fund created to provide humanitarian assistance to those fleeing the violence in Ukraine. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a difference to the more than 2 million people who have been displaced due to the violence. Please share this challenge with friends and family so we can raise as much money as possible to help our brothers and sisters.

At our next session March 28, the author of the book is joining us for our session to discuss his insights with us and answer questions. We meet at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Reclaiming Rural: Building Thriving Rural Congregations by Allen T. Stanton describes how by establishing a clear theological and rural identity, leaders can build a meaningful and vital ministry. As rural America continues to undergo massive economic and demographic shifts, rural churches are uniquely positioned to provide community leadership.

If you have missed previous sessions but would still like to join, you are welcome. Mother Kathy has a few books available. Please speak with her if you’d like to join or have any questions.
