EASTER SERVICE AT SHRINE MONT
We are excited to announce that Historic Beckford Parish is having an 11 a.m. Easter Sunday service outdoors at Shrine Mont! Given we have a maximum number of people we can have there, we’re asking everyone to register by Wednesday, April 1. We’ll be using the lower pavilion, which is more accessible.
With respect to safety requirements, everyone must wear a mask the entire time (even outdoors) and social distance. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to have a Coffee Hour after.
For those unable to attend, we’ll have an online service available. If you have questions, please email Mother Kathy and/or Melissa.
EASTER BAG PICKUP
We have put together Easter bags for parishioners to pickup at Emmanuel or St. Andrew’s during Holy Week or at the Shrine Mont Easter service. Bags include a variety of Easter treats, including prayers for at home worship, a coloring booklet and surprises.
Parishioners may pickup from either church. If you need them delivered, please contact Mother Kathy.

HAM DONATION DRIVE FOR FOOD PANTRY AND GAP
In celebration of Easter, we are providing some hams to Emmanuel’s Table and GAP. We’re taking monetary donations for this effort over the next few weeks. If you’d like to help, you can mail a check made out to Emmanuel with a note that it’s for hams directly to Emmanuel (122 E. Court St., Woodstock VA 226640).
EMMANUEL’S TABLE FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are seeking a volunteer (or two) who can devote approximately eight hours a month to taking inventory, ordering and determining what to place in pre-packaged bags. If you’re a detail-oriented person who is comfortable with computers and loves to be part of a team, we’d love to speak with you about volunteering.
Volunteers are required to wear a mask and social distance and must be 18 or older for this particular position.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact Mother Kathy. If you know someone who is interested, please pass along this info.
NEWS FROM THE DIOCESE OF VIRGINIA
With the discontinuation of The Virginia Episcopalian magazine by the Diocese, folks are being encouraged to sign up to receive their revamped e-Communique. It will have the stories and info that helps keep the Diocese connected, without the heavy cost that is incurred with creating and shipping print publications or the lag in getting information out. When you sign up, you’ll get the monthly email plus announcements direct from the Bishop. You can sign up on the Diocese website.
