Lecture on Food Supply Sustainability

Be prepared to hear a college level talk by our own Fred Hoerr, a Veterinary Pathologist, on the sustainability of our food supplies as populations rise.  Fred will speak from his own experience and from a knowledge of public policy issues.  It will be an interesting and informative morning. The meeting will begin at 10 AM on Saturday (March 23rd) in the Historic Courthouse (side entrance) in Woodstock.

Community Lenten Service at Woodstock UMC

A number of Woodstock churches, including Emmanuel, First Presbyterian, St. Paul’s UCC, John Bosco Catholic and UMC are coming together for a Tuesday community Lenten service from March 12 through April 16. Each service is at Woodstock UMC. Relay for Life Bake Sale

Sat. April 20 – Bake Sale  Located at Tractor Supply starting at 8 a.m. Since this is the day before Easter, we will have coconut and peanut butter eggs for sale. We would greatly appreciate any donations of baked goods (cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, rolls, or other treats) for the sale. I know we have some GREAT cooks/bakers at Emmanuel. If you will let me know (540-325-2563) by Friday morning (4/19), I will make arrangements with you for getting your donation.
