We’ll be holding worship at the lower pavilion (where concerts are held) as this is a more accessible location for everyone. It allows us to socially distance in our own “pods” more easily.

WHAT TO KNOW
WHAT’S IN A POD
Simply put, your pod is the people you live with.
We understand everyone is going to be excited to see one another and may wish to sit together, but in going to Shrine Mont, we’ve made the promise to adhere to their safety directives which were set in conjunction the Diocese. We must kindly ask that you stay with your pod prior to, during and after the service.
Waves, bows and conversation from a 6 foot distance are encouraged! In fact, it’s the reason we’re getting together! For some extra fun — Come up with your most creative social distance greeting. We’ll show them off at Shrine Mont to see who earns the honor of Most Creative Greeter.
THERE MUST BE FOOD — WE’RE EPISCOPALIANS
An added bonus of being at Shrine Mont — We can safely gather after the service in the dining hall for lunch. We’ll be seated in our pods 6 feet away from the other groups. Everything is set up cafeteria style, going through the line distanced. If you’d prefer, you can get lunch to go. Simply let the cafeteria folks know as you go through the line. Folks who want to do carry out can use the door near the end of the line to leave while those who would like to sit down will be escorted to a table by Shrine Mont staff. If the cost of lunch is a concern, please contact Mother Kathy.
KEEPING EACH OTHER SAFE
We want to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time while we take care of one another’s health. Shrine Mont has strict COVID safety mandates set out by the Diocese that, as their guests, we’ve agreed to adhere to out of respect for them and one another.
1. Everyone MUST wear a mask (nose and mouth covered, no gaps) from the moment they arrive. Even outdoors and 6 feet apart. After we’re seated for lunch, they can of course come off for eating. Once we’re done, we’ll need to mask up to leave.
2. A 6 foot distance must be kept from others not in your pod at all times.
3. Stay with your pod (explanation above).
4. We must have no more than 50 people at each service (including Mother Kathy).
5. Please stay home if you’ve shown any COVID symptoms, feel sick, have a temperature or have been exposed to COVID within the last 14 days, or have been recently tested and are waiting on results.
You can read about Shrine Mont’s safety protocol here. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We want to be sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
ARE YOU ABLE TO COME? LET US KNOW!
Shrine Mont is graciously setting up seating for each pod. With that and all the guidelines above in mind, we need folks to RSVP if they’re coming to the service, how many are in their pod and how many are joining us in the dining hall after for lunch (whether dine in or carry out). You can RSVP online here or you may contact Mother Kathy or Melissa for the RSVP form to complete.
For the Sept. 27 service, please RSVP by Sept. 20. For the Oct. 18 service, please RSVP by Oct. 11.
If you are undecided about the lunch when you RSVP, you are welcome to call Shrine Mont directly by the Saturday before to make a reservation. Let them know you’re with Beckford Parish and they’ll take care of the rest.
HAVE A QUESTION?
If you have any questions, concerns (or want to express your excitement), Mother Kathy and Melissa are here to help. We want to make sure you feel comfortable and have all the information you need when deciding whether or not to attend.
You can email either, or both, of us: Mother Kathy email@example.com Melissa firstname.lastname@example.org. Mother Kathy is away Sept. 11 through the 19th, so if you have a question during that time, Melissa is the best contact. If she doesn’t have the answer, she’ll find it for you.
